  • Overview:
    This is a joint appointment in the Department of Computer Science and the Multimedia Web Design and Development program. This is an initial two-year appointment with opportunity for renewals and longer-term contracts. There is a comprehensive review in the fifth year. The successful candidate must have earned a master’s or doctorate in computer science, web design, web development, or a related field; be familiar with the fundamentals in Internet programming and attentive to emerging technologies; as well as have professional experience in the field. Because this is a joint appointment, the successful candidate must be able to teach in both the Computer Science and Multimedia Web Design and Development programs. Applied faculty are evaluated on their teaching, professional productivity, and service. The teaching load is three courses per semester. Professional productivity is comprised of sustained excellence in practice which consists of documented efforts to stay current in the profession (required), innovative practice which consists of demonstrated contributions to the profession (required), as well as scholarship (optional).
