    The primary function of this position is to strategize, develop/design, implement and quantify the success of all web-based marketing efforts for Elizabethtown College including recommending strategies for ensuring the College remain on the cutting edge of website design and delivery.

  • Job Description:

    Collaborate with colleagues in Information Technology and Web/Multi Media Services to manage the College’s web presence, identify web priorities, address challenges, and seeks opportunities for improvement and maintenance of the College’s online brand;
    Build, manage and implement the annual website marketing plan for the College including an annual evaluation of the site and recommendations for prioritized enhancements;
    Provide expertise and oversight for strategic web decisions including but not limited to the design, re-design and maintenance for etown.edu, etowndegrees.edu and centerforfamilybusiness.org;
    Manage the College’s web-based media strategies;
    Inventory and assess current practices for consistency and serve as the College’s subject matter expert the areas of interactive and web-based marketing and communications;
    Manage the site traffic analytics and provide regular reporting of the College’s web effectiveness in order to assess success and determine areas of opportunity (data-driven marketing decision-making);
    Maintain the College’s home page with current events, new information and fresh imagery;
    Manage the Web Content and Social Media Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist and co-manage the Print & Web Designer;
    Oversee all digital board messaging on campus;
    Develop and maintain the interactive campus map;
    Collaborate with campus constituents to develop, design and distribute content in the form of text, audio and video podcasts, blogs, flash greetings, etc.;
    Management of all web-based and digital assets for the Capital Campaign and the College’s Advancement area;
    Identify new and emerging technologies. Research and recommend exploration and implementation as appropriate;
    Improve outreach to the College’s core constituencies via a coordinated e-communications program (including the Website, Campus Connections, e-mail campaigns, blogs, and other interactive and social networking media);
    Coordinate collaborative development and implementation of e-fundraising campaigns;
    Responsible for website ADA compliance;
    Provide creative support for the campus community in designing all digital communications;
    Edit, proofread and post graphics and multimedia content to the website;
    Maintain technical skills through professional development;

  • Computer Skills:

    Knowledge of current W3C Web Standards, including HTML and CSS; familiarity with other protocols.

  • Education Required:

    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Web Design and/or Development plus three or more years’ demonstrated experience building, managing, and growing an organization’s website and management experience in a team environment.
