    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Responsible for the design and production of a variety of creative visual communications projects (including, but not limited to ads, brochures, posters, banners, reports, magazines, invitations, signage, and digital components) from initial concept, through design, document layout, and production. This includes:
    -meeting with clients and project managers about visual communications objectives and solutions
    -creating effective and innovative communications solutions to meet established objectives from a creative brief
    -preparing production-ready electronic files for vendors
    -working with vendors to ensure quality standards are met
    -maintaining design quality while adhering to university brand standards
    -meeting project deadlines within established budgets
    -managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related. At least five years of experience developing and producing creative visual communications solutions. Expert knowledge of Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop software. Demonstrated, in-depth experience with color correction, press checks, and magazine design. Strong communication, collaboration, time management, and problem-solving skills. Candidates must be committed to GVSU’s values, especially that of inclusion and equity.

    Annual salary is $38,000 to $47,000 depending on skills and experience.
