    We are seeking a talented and well-organized designer to join the Northwestern University School of Professional Studies team. The Design and Production Associate creates print and online advertising; print materials including direct mail, invitations and signage; and html email. Maintains digital asset library; assists with production estimates, traffic, proofing; coordinates photo and video shoots; and otherwise supports the Creative Director.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    + A high school diploma, associate's degree, college level design courses or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired;
    + Knowledge and application of general design principles;
    + Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Acrobat software;
    + Demonstrated proficiency in the application of general design principles;
    + Solid computer skills including working knowledge of applications noted above;
    + Organized, deadline and detail oriented;
    + Ability to communicate with staff, suppliers and clients in professional and effective manner;
    + Experience with Flash software and familiarity with pre-press and print production are also assets.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Experience in designing print and online materials;
    Able to meet deadlines while working on multiple projects;
    + Excellent organizational skills;
    + Design portfolio for review, either professional or academic;
    + An associate’s or bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
