    Bachelor's degree with emphasis in graphic design and three years of progressively responsible experience executing all phases of the creative process, including concept, design, layout, typography, photo shoots and printing. Experience in graphic design and creation of publications and marketing materials, and experience in higher education is preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

    Ability to produce publications that are of exceptional quality, are distinctly different in style yet still within the same general family, and assure all projects are within budget. Desktop publishing and pre-press skills essential. Macintosh computer experience with expertise in the use of Adobe Creative Suites (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) required. Knowledge of and experience with design principles/techniques, color theory, and printing processes and procedures. Knowledge of Web design and production a plus. Must be able to manage multiple tasks from creative process through production, effectively, within deadlines and budget, and develop effective working relationships with campus constituents, print vendors, photographers and paper representatives.

    Must possess good interpersonal skills, be able to serve as a consultant for upper-level management as appropriate, and be sensitive to values and procedures of an academic institution. Some overnight travel may be required to supervise photo shoots and conduct press checks.

    + Consults with Creative Director on the execution of short- and long-term strategic marketing campaigns and programs that have an impact on the College's efforts to recruit and retain high-level students to the institution. Helps to develop the visual components of the campaigns from creative concepts, to the art direction and production of marketing communications materials. These materials include, but are not limited to, recruitment packages, advertising campaigns, social media advertising content and other miscellaneous print collateral.

    + As part of the College Marketing team, provides consultation and advice to campus divisions and departments. Works with campus constituents to ensure that the visual message of the College is consistent and maintained throughout all strategic marketing campaigns and programs.
    Percent of Time: 25

    + Develops and implements effective creative concepts that are used to recruit students to the College. Helps manage the design, production, quality and overall look of materials produced by the College Marketing team. Ensures that all projects are within established budgets. Reviews the correct use of the logo and brand elements on all materials.

    + Helps manage all phases of production from the bidding process through final printing. Checks all proofs, evaluates color corrections and attends press checks when required. Keeps up-to-date on latest marketing trends, and continually researches industry trends so that the College Marketing department is using the most effective print and electronic communications to advertise the institution and meet enrollment goals.

    + Develops professional presentations that are used by campus constituents to promote the College and develop and manage production schedules for printed materials that promote the College.
