    The Creative Services Manager is responsible for the development, project management, and production of CCAs marketing materials and publications, including ads, recruitment collateral, posters, brochures, postcards, videos, magazines, invitations, books, and web and email assets. The Creative Services Manager supervises the creative services staff consisting of an Associate Design & Production Manager, Graphic Designer, Jr. Graphic Designer , and Sputnik  a class of graphic design students who intern for the Marketing and Communications Department.

    PROJECT MANAGEMENT. Working in the Creative Services division of the Marketing and Communications Office, the CSM works with clients, designers, editors, and outside vendors to produce printed and electronic material. Maintains production schedules, specifications, and billing. Procures bids for print jobs. Makes mailing and distribution arrangements with clients and mail house. Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once are a must.

    PLANNING. Assists clients in developing their promotional materials and determining the most effective use of resources for their budget and marketing goals, which are coordinated with the Director of Marketing. Creates and manages production schedules and manages projects from beginning to end in order to meet deadlines.

    PRODUCTION. Troubleshoots files and prepares them for print. Edits files and resizes for new and reprint jobs independently. Prepares files for transition to web/digital presence. Responsible for editing and submitting print ads. Attends press checks. Occasionally designs projects and/or updates existing design projects. NOTE: This is not a design-only position.

    MANAGE PROJECTS, BRAND ASSETS, AND DESIGN PERSONNEL. Manages print production, web and video projects, and design and editorial processes. Hires/manages freelance designers for special projects. Ensures that the college is appropriately represented and brand guidelines are adhered to in all its marketing materials. Responsible for managing the Creative Services staff and Sputnik.

    ADMINISTRATIVE. Oversees archives of publications, images, vendors, and paper samples. Works with clients and business office on billing. Keeps accurate records of past projects as both traditional files and digital files.

    +BA or equivalent and at least five years experience working in a design studio, advertising agency, or publishing house
    +Self-starter with exceptional organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, work on deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and manage a number of projects and designers simultaneously.
    +Strong project management skills are a must.
    +Deep experience implementing brand guidelines and coaching creative staff to ensure all materials are on-brand is a must.
    +Excellent design skills and mastery of design programs, particularly Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge, Acrobat Pro, also Suitcase.
    *Basic HTML knowledge.
    +Versed in web design, graphic design, and user experience fundamentals, best practices, and trends.
    +Understands all aspects of the printing process, proofing, paper, font management.
    +Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with faculty, students, staff, and work-study students; and a proven track record of working collaboratively as part of a larger team.
    +Proficiency with Mac systems, word processing and spreadsheet software required. Google Apps a plus.
