Tina LeMay's Biography
Director, Student Affairs Publications
Born in southern Illinois, I came to Clemson University for undergraduate school, stayed for graduate school, accepted a full-time position and swore I'd only stay two years. I have now been here 27 years and I really think I may bleed orange. Clemson University has been very good to me and I have had the privilege of working alongside some very talented people.
I am committed to excellent design and am energized by learning new techniques, skills and information about how to help solve communication issues. It is important to me, also, to help inspire my staff and strive to constantly improve our work as a team. UCDA plays a big part in these efforts.
Currently my team focuses on supporting the communication and creative needs of areas such as Housing, Parking Services, Major Events, Career Center, Dining Services, Campus Recreation, TigerOne Card Services, Development, Student Life, Campus Life and Vice President for Student Affairs.
One unique element to our area is that we advise a student-run, large-format communication solutions business. The business is completely based on an intern model involving several collaborations with academic areas. This opportunity provides a learning lab that mixes graphic designers, writers, marketers, Web designers, social media experts, business planners, supply chain managers, digital production arts students, and architecture and human resource interns.
I drive a Mini Cooper, am an art lover, a PEZ collector (and sketcher), a photographer and an acoustic guitar player. I choose chai tea, not coffee. I am energetic and loyal. I am unbelievably inspired by the lakes, mountains and waterfalls all within a 30-mile radius.
I am an avid reader, but I still love the feel and smell of a book in my hands. I am embarrassingly still very interested in LEGO and, oh, did I mention I was also a Star Wars geek?
