Visit Portland Oregon and work with higher education photographer Matthew Lester during an intensive day-long workshop focusing on the intersection of photography and design.

Topics will include: understanding the settings on your camera, seeing light and composition, exploring what makes a good image, portraits, and telling a story through photography.

For over 13 years Matt has been telling the stories of the higher education and health care industries by capturing the natural interactions that occur all around us. He takes great pride in showing the energy, vibrancy, and life on campuses and in classrooms, while also exploring the compassion and caring that exists between a patient and their caregiver. Matt focuses on creating images that are natural and give viewers a sense of place and depth.

Matt’s work has taken him from Afgan mountain villages and rural Haiti to places like the National Institutes of Health in Washington DC. In each photograph he takes, he strives to honor the people captured as they devote themselves to the work and the world they live in.

Infused with a lifelong passion for learning, Mattrelishes the opportunity to work and collaborate with a wide array of people ranging from art directors and project managers to directly with his clients.
